Medical Director of the National Rugby Team since 1995, he participates at the Latin Cup in 1995 in Argentina, at the Rugby World Cup:
1999 in Wales and England,
2003 in Australia and
2015 in England
as well as numerous tours in Europe and the Southern Hemisphere ( South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Fiji, W. Samoa, Uruguay, Argentina).
In 2000 he was part of the group that participated in the first "historic" 6 Nations Tournament, taking part in all subsequent editions up to 2004 and subsequently from 2013 to 2015.

Since 1997 he is a member of the Federazione Medico Sportiva Italiana
Since 1998 he is part, as representative of the Federazione Italiana Rugby, of the Medical Board of the International Board now World Rugby.
He was a member of the Medical Committee of the Federazione Italiana Rugby for 12 years.
Since November 2008 he is of Federazione Medico Sportiva Italiana
In July 2010 he was appointed President of the Medical Commission of the Federazione Italiana Rugby.
In May 2011 he joined the team sport team as part of CONI's Olympic preparation program.
Since 2010 he has been the national manager of the PSSD (sports first aid) project of FMSI.
In recent years he has participated, also with personal contributions, in numerous scientific initiatives concerning the management and prevention of "Emergencies on the competition fields", "Catastrophic Sport Injuries", "Cervical Traumas in Rugby" and on "Sports Concussion"
He is a member of the Security Committee of the Italian Rugby Federation.
In June 2013 he was responsible for the 2013 World Cup in Moscow.
Member of the World Rugby-Working Group on HIA (head injury assessment).
Member of the Medical Advisory Group of the Six Nations Championship and of the Medical Commission of the European Professional Clubs of Rugby and of the PRO 12 Rugby.
In 2018 he was appointed a member of the Scientific Commission of the European Federation of Sports Medicine EFSMA
